Two previous projects have focused on teaching about sustainable development in world history and cultures and in US History. In addition, Global Learning's conflict resolution work has helped establish student peer mediation programs in over 30 schools across New Jersey -- with demonstrable results in creating more peaceable schools. Current efforts are helping additional schools in Edison, Newark and Summit train teachers and students for the Conflict Mediators Program. Teacher training workshops have been scheduled through May. |
