Conflict Mediators Program
School Staff Trainings
Winter and Spring 1997

  • Do you want to start a proven conflict resolution program at your school?
  • Do you want a program that can reduce conflicts, disciplinary referrals and violence?

Global Learning, Inc. has successfully collaborated with staff, students and parents at 30+ schools across New Jersey in establishing student peer mediation programs -- including Malcolm X Shabazz High School and Miller Street School in Newark.

An external evaluator from Kean College has found that the Conflict Mediators Program has reduced conflicts and suspensions in these Newark schools and has had positive demonstrable results with the trained student mediators, with the students whose conflicts have been mediated, and with the faculty and staff of these schools.

Global Learning is offering a special opportunity for schools that want to establish peer mediation programs -- four adult training opportunities, with the option of follow-up student mediation trainings. Newark Public Schools can apply their funds from the district's Goals 2000 Project to this training.
