:Everything! This was such a great day! Thank you so much for your hard
work! Great workshops! Variety - presentations, participation, pace It was well-focused, cohesive, while including many voices, many views. The stories (poems and music) that humanize and sensitize us to other people/cultures, that help us see the similarities and uniqueness. I appreciate the practical ideas for engaging students. Hard to imagine how it could have been better As a result of this preconference, I will: Bring lots of great programming to my public library children's department! Thanks for the resources! Rave to all my colleagues; maintain contact with persons I met here Work on international issues with ALA. Do more research about sustainable communities Work in my community to develop local awareness of topics discussed today Purchase lots of new books, be more aware of global perspectives as I work with teachers and staff Purchase new materials and redesign some teaching-learning sequences for future librarians and teachers. In addition I will add to new bibliographies for teachers and librarians. Explore some of these resources and ideas and determine what we can implement.
